After the release of Galaxy W23 5G on October 21, 2022, the next expected model to be launched by the Korean telecom giant is their flagship Galaxy S23 in the year of 2023. We already know that the W23 5G is a successor to W22 5G, so it’s safe to assume that s23 will also inherit most of the features of the S22 in an upgraded software and hardware package.
Keep reading this article provided by Simply Fixable, and we will give you a detailed insight into the whole lineup of incredible Samsung smartphones with amped-up features to be released in the next year.
Samsung has been launching most of their flagship S series smartphones for over a decade in the months of February and March. The company has been introducing the S series in three variants, so you should expect to see the three new smartphones in February or March 2023, which will include the following:
Safety Korea, which is a South Korean battery certification agency, has already approved the battery to be used with the new Samsung Galaxy 2023 S23 smartphones and listed it in their certification database.
The batteries that were designed in the S22 phone models were also certified in September 2021, and the smartphones were released on 9 Feb 2021. So this further confirms the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy 2023 flagship models in the same time window.
According to the leaks that came from Yogesh Brar, whose track record indicates accurate specification details of the upcoming smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy 2023 S23 lineup will be the next big thing in Android technology for average and advanced users.

Another renowned leaker, OnLeaks, tweeted the rendered images of the latest Samsung Galaxy 2023 S23 and S23+ and also shared 5 renders and 360-degree video of both the upcoming devices on Smartprix and Digit.
The leaked specifications and rendered images/videos already revealed quite a bit about the Samsung Galaxy 2023 S series lineup; let’s discuss the changes in the next iteration of the S23 and S23+ variants.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 looks pretty much the same as its predecessor from the front with a 6.1-inch AMOLED 1080p display and a refresh rate of 120Hz, but it’s the back where you see some changes. The camera module resembles the one on the Galaxy S22 Ultra, with the individual camera rings without the accented camera island.
Although the individual camera rings are not looking good on these renders, the phone may look far better in real life.
The renders also reveal to us that the Galaxy S23+ looks almost identical to the S23. However, the screen size of the former is 6.6,” and the other is 6.1”. The bezels on both S23 and S23 Plus are a bit thicker than S22s, which you may overlook while actually holding the devices.
The rear camera specifications are the same as the S22, but the front camera on both S23 and S23+ will get a 12MP sensor. How big of a sensor that can be, remains a mystery.
The leaked specs indicate that a slight battery upgrade is in order as the Galaxy S23 will come out with a 3,900mah battery which is better than the Galaxy S22’s 3,700mah. However, you won’t see a charging time upgrade, which can be a little disappointing for new buyers.
Although this news is not confirmed, the chipset on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23+ can be the next generation of the one installed in S22’s with a 10-15% performance gain.
In terms of RAM and device storage, the initial leaked specifications indicate no sign of an upgrade in the Samsung Galaxy 2023 S22 and S22+ models.
At the time of this writing, Onleaks and other sources did not reveal the renders and specs of the S23 Ultra. However, according to the differences between S22, S22+, and S23, S23+, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will look pretty identical to the previous year's release.
Galaxy S22 Ultra almost looked like a Note with a built-in S pen, so this feature will likely be present on the Samsung Galaxy 2023 S23 Ultra as well. Additionally, there are rumors that the sides of the S23 Ultra will be a little flatter, the display curve will be reduced, and a 200 MP primary camera can be included.
Note: As far as prices are concerned, we are hardly noticing any difference between the S22 and S23, except a couple of hundred bucks between the S22 and S23 Ultra.
Along with Samsung Galaxy s23 variants, let’s briefly discuss a couple of new phones in the Galaxy lineup that can hit the market in 2023.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 were released on 26 August 2022 and instantly became a hit amongst their users due to various features, a fusion of style, and performance upgrades compared to their Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 predecessors.
The first phone in the Z series was launched in September 2019, the second in September 2020, the third in August 2021, and the fourth in August 2022. So with the recent success and release date history in mind, we are confident that the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 will likely arrive in late August or early September 2023.
Many people prefer the Samsung Galaxy A series over the S or Z series because these phones offer a broader range of price brackets and are considerably cheaper than flagship models. So, for users on a budget, there might be good news as it is expected that Samsung will be launching A14, A24, A34, A54, and A74 in March 2023.
Based on what we have heard so far, the Samsung Galaxy 2023 S series flagship smartphones have some disadvantages compared to Apple's latest iPhone 14. However, these upcoming Galaxy phones can give their Android competitors a hard run for their money. Well, keep your fingers crossed and hope that Samsung will add something extra into the mix and surprise us with further upgrades before the actual release date.
